At Ballarat North Primary School, we are fortunate to have a welcoming and bright library space with thousands of interesting books.
The library is separated into the different sections of Picture Fiction, Fiction, Non-Fiction and Magazines. Browsing is a very important part of selecting and enjoying books. There are large beach ball cushions and chairs around the library where students can settle back, relax and enjoy reading.
The library is open each lunch time and students gather to share books, have quiet conversation or perhaps play a board game with an older buddy or friend. The students have the opportunity to visit the library each week with their class teacher or have a formal library lesson, where they have the opportunity to borrow books and learn more about the library.
