Remote Learning at BNPS

Update 15/4/20

Dear Parents,
Due to some connectivity issues with Compass not every family received their Learning Tasks messages on our first day of Remote Learning.
Families in grades Prep -2 can check their child’s SeeSaw account for the first day’s learning and senior classes can access Google Classroom for information.

If you are not able to log onto either of those platforms please email the school account and we will organise connections for you as the day progresses.

In the meantime we hope your child can continue with their practice of skills activities from the resources sent home by their teacher at the end of last term.

We thanks you for your patience as we get this set up in this first week.

Update 14/4/20

Following advice from the Department of Education and Training we will be moving to remote and flexible learning from Term 2, to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). This means that all students who can learn at home must learn from home. This is a very clear directive from the Victorian Government based on the advice of the Chief Health Officer.

The Department’s latest advice on coronavirus can be found at https://www.education.vic.gov.au/coronavirus

It is important that we work together and support each other during this challenging time. We will be in regular touch with staff and parents and carers regular updates through our messaging portal Compass about what remote and flexible learning will look like at our school.

In the meantime, you might find it useful to look at the Department’s Learning from Home website. It provides resources and guidance for teachers and parents and carers. https://www.education.vic.gov.au/about/department/Pages/learningfromhome.aspx

Please continue to stay safe and healthy.
